As enlightenment unfolds, as the witness to this unfolding, and as the truth is always present {where else could the truth be}, tell me, are you here now?

By 'Be here now' Ram Das meant for our consciousness to be completely in the present moment not thinking of the future or dwelling on the past. If we can do that enlightenment can unfold. The truth is present , I am witness to the truth. Sometimes we let ourselves witness truth in the past and future as well as the present in order to do things like Yahoo Answers. Thus we can learn how to train the mind and help others. I am here now but time is an illusion because we can't see everything at the same time, so I am also here in the future now and the past now. There is only now.

Ah, here we are in that branch of philosophy called metaphysics (I have a Master degree in philo.)
I hope you do not spend too much time dwelling on these questions, for philosophy could drive a person insane!
You speak of truth, but how do you define truth? Can you use a minimalist approach when speaking of truth? How do individual differences account for perceptions of truth?
Is the computer screen you're looking at REALLY there or is it simply the concept of "computer screen" that you're seeing?
Philosophy asks many questions. Philosophy will answer none. That's right, there really are no answers. We may think we have answers, but in "reality" we may be very wrong.

the truth is always present but sometimes it is hidden so you have to look for it only to find that it is right before your eyes, the search in itself brings many lessons and many experiences

Yes, I accept your invitation. I am here and now, as a witness to what is here, and as a witness to what is unfolding. You are a Light to me, Cosmic, and it takes one to know one. We are many and we are one. Go figure!

Kind of. I'm planning supper, though. Got to start that soon, or people in this house will go hungry.
