Im just doing this to preserve them and keep and digital version with me. I might want to print some of them later on.

Try to go for higher DPI.... in future it will help you to printout bigger size.

The higher the dpi the better. You need to do it at least 1200 dpi if you want to save sentimental items. 600 dpi is used for when quality is not an issue.

Hi. To preserve as much detail as possible use the highest dpi possible. Files will be larger but it will be worth it.
