Hi. Yes, Vista uses a lot more resources at this point. It may get faster in the future but you may also have to upgrade your computer. Try setting the computer for performance rather than 'eye candy' such as Aero.

I think everyone is experiencing that problem. I have 2 Gigs of RAM and it's still slow. Put simply...XP came on a CD... Vista comes on a DVD. That tells you what a behemoth Vista is. What a waste.

No Vista-no problems. You'll need a biiiiiig RAM, fast processor and a very fast graphic card to run Vista smoothly

yes,

1/ try network XP PC with Vista. The XP won't see any resources on the Vista but the Vista PC can see everything.

2/ VNC was not working last month, not sure if they fix it.

It is typical Microsoft bloat-ware. It is just too big for the current systems. In a year or two the hardware will catch up, but until then you are better off with XP.

try and clean out the files on it.
if you can, check out a Smart Computing or PC World magazine and read what it says about Vista.
Your Vista may have some Malware or Virus on it, which is not a good thing.
