i signed the papers becuase i couldnt afford the ridiculous child support anymore. it sounds terrible, but it would have left me homeless... that was the main reason.

No, once you sign over your rights you are no longer considered the father. You have no more rights.

Absolutely not. You signed away your rights to avoid supporting your child, and therefore you no longer had any rights and responsibilities for that child. Prior to signing the legal paperwork, a judge should have told you what an enormous decision you were making. The only option that you have is to wait until the child is 18 and go visit her. Unless of course the mother would allow you to visit.

It all depends on the reason why you signed off on your very own fleashing blood.People fight for custody for children they gave up and times they win, and lots of times they dont.(depends on what happen when you signed over the rights)I hope your in a better place now then you were then, and I would be seeking help. Please consider what this may do to the child now that you signed off on long ago.put the child first not your own feelings of missing the child.best wishes to you and that child

The chances are so small that they are not worth mentioning, but they do exist. You should consult with a lawyer. Sorry, but only a lawyer can truly help you. Further, be completely honest with your lawyer. ONLY accurate information is useful. Should something come up in court of which your lawyer was not informed, then you will be defenseless if you had any chance at all.

Only if you go to court for it. And, honestly, I dont think the court will agree unless you can show you were forced or coerced into signing them.

Depends on what the law is. Here in NZ if you are a parent you always have rights.

I don't think so. But you could look into it. She could be adopted to another parent by now or your ex's spouse
