If you shake up a unopened bottle of champagne how long does it take to have the gasses settle?

It would be nice to get an estimate on the amount of time needed to pass but I understand the replies so far.

A couple of hours. The CO2 will be absorbed back in the drink faster if it's cold.

If it was shaken give it a while, If it wasn't open and start pouring. Cheers

you can open it up right away, just be careful. open it slowly with a whisper and you shouldn't have a problem
