like strange people you think something is off with, im really accepting of all types of people and then sometimes it turns out a couple are really messed up in the head and do things, should i just not be friends with them? they seem needy, some of them and i have a soft heart

Yes you can be friends, but there has to be boundaries. Imagine how much you can take day after day and month and month and budget this stress. Then react accordingly, If you can't imagine dealing with it for more than a month, you probably can't be friends with them and they are better not being friends with you and then being rejected. If you want to reject someone do it early on so that they don't feel so let down later when "they thought you were their friend."

I don't think any of us are "weird" free. Some more than others, yes, but needy people can and will wear you out. I ended a friendship with someone who, while not weird, was way too needy and I just couldn't listen to the same old problems anymore.

It is very nice to be polite & be friendly with messed-up people, but you have to realize how fast they can they can suck you into their problems sometimes & mess up your life!

i think you should be friends with them but make sure they know that you have your limitations. you could boost their self confidence if you're just nice to them and dont talk about them or anything

No if people make you feel uncomfortable then stay away from them. You cant fix them
