Our Walker coonhound (F-9 yrs) has seasonal allergies as well. Out vet suggested giving her OTC Benadryl...the regular human medicine. Holly is 56 lbs and she gets 100 mg twice a day, which is 4 little pills each dosage. If you have a membership at Costco or Sams Club, you can get the generic brand for less than $5. Good luck!

If you haven't heard of a neti pot I suggest you go out and buy one right away... It's a tea like thing (cost about $16)-- you fill it with warm water and salt... Afterwards, you lean over the sink and/or in the shower and irrigate your nasal/sinus..trust me!! for those of you that can't breath half the time and are tired of taking med's i would suggest this. Once you get the angle down you will love it

Some people recommend local honey. Be careful, you can be allergic to the honey also. I recommend a good air purifier.
