Totally exhausted after only 100M? What are you going to do
in a big meet where you might have to run trials & semi-finals for both the 100M and again possibly in a relay? If you think that 100M is exhausting, what do you think it's like running the 400M dash
or400M I.H.? I suggest that you need to do some distance training. Ask your coach for a workout plan.
Another idea & suggestion: I suspect that you don't like the 200.
so......during the time trials, do your best, go all out during the 100, and purposely screw up in the 200. Chances are that you won't be entered into that event.
Try the long jump. If you have decent speed , you might find success here. You won't get that exhausted running about 75
feet at a time. And if you do , well there's aways the stamp club or debate team.

I'm not sure if you're running with a track team but if you are..try training a little bit with your middle distance team. Try running some 800's and maybe even 1000's in practice to get endurance up. And every once and awhile go on a road run with the distance team. My team has done this with some of our sprinters and it has increased their endurance and their speed greatly. Even in the 100m still.

Break the 200m down. Do 50m sprint hard, then 50m jog, 50m hard, 50m jog. Then start increasing the sprint lengths. So do 60m hard sprint, 40m jog, 60m sprint, 40m jog.

Keep building it up. It'll take a few weeks to get there, but eventually you'll be doing the 200m sprint without any jogging. Then you can focus on improving your sprint time.

Interval training helps the body process oxygen better, therefore improving stamina.

not trying to be mean but if your totally exhausted after the 100m then you are probably really out of shape you just need to keep running a little bit farther every time until you dont have a problem with it good luck : )
