I could be wrong but county hospitals seem to be over worked and under staffed. The patient load is such a vast amount that they don't take the time to pay attention unless someone has a gun shot or is bleeding profusely. I think it would depend on what you said your illness was when you signed in as to the order you are taken in. Could be wrong--I know I have had to wait when someone with a worse injury came in after me.

Well a few months ago my wife and I went to a "Children's Hospital" emergency room because
a local clinic had x-rayed our infant son and thought they saw a problem with the xray(There was no problem)...

We sat in the emergency room waiting room for FIVE hours....But every minority conceivable came and went during that time......Oh we are white...

This is nothing more than a statement of the bare facts.....So before all of the thumbs downs and BS comments....It did happen and just that way!!!!!!!!

Who knows? It's crazy, isn't it? The woman who died didn't look like she had money. It seems as though a lot of the hospital staff just likes to judge the person walking in. They question whether the person can afford making it in (which come on...is ridiculus), or if the person is most likely an illegal who looks like they don't have insurance. It's pathetic.

You may be sure not.

Race figures into that too.

The MHK Hospital and others like it need to be punished severly...

You wouldn't think so, but it just depends on the staff and circumstances of her illness/injury.
