There are a few portable versions of antivirus and anti spyware software programs. They often need to be used with a U3 compatiable flash drive. Many software makers came together and set a standard for portable software which can run off a flash drive (i.e. U3).

Avast has a portable version of their popular antivirus software program (http://software.u3.com/Product_Details.aspx?productId=35&lang=en-US).

You can also try portable ClamWin. ClamWin is a free open source antivirus program. It does not require a U3 compatiable flash drive. It works on all flash drives. (http://software.u3.com/Product_Details.aspx?productId=35&lang=en-US).

There is only one portable anti spyware application I know of which can be run from a flash drive. You can use Lavasoft's Ad Aware. All you need to do is copy the Ad Aware Folder which is located in C:\Program Files\Lavasoft. Copy the contents of the folder to your flash drive.

Technically, you can run any software from the USB, just change the root directory when installing them. Ad-Aware, Spybot S&D, AVG, Stinger, etc.

Cheers
