So, I've been wondering why people believe in there religion. Is it mainly that you hope there is a god? Also, what if you are wrong? What if religious beliefs are blocking and stalling the progress to better, updated and happier living for human beings? What if a the idea of a god(s) is so wrong and we realize it, how would our human race take that?

Really though, just what if you guys are wrong what would happen. What if there is no "Jesus" or "Satan" besides the best proof you have is that we are here and that isn't realy great proof, I bet you there are way more ideas of how we got here than just god. Also, what if you and I are wrong and Siddhartha (A.K.A. Buddha) is are true god. The fact you take your religion this serious, when it could easily be wrong, is ridicules.

1. The unknown frightens them!
2. They are insecure within themselves!
3. The big question is: How would our human race take it, if their understanding of God is in error?
That is a rare question, congratulations on asking. At the present time the human race would take it on the chin!
I don't know what your beliefs are, but this must be said.......
People of many faiths believe in a second coming, this is a certainty. Mans faith is wavering to the point that this event is the only thing that will keep man from destroying both himself and the planet!
The final sign passed through many traditions is this...Man will turn his back on God, and some will refuse to believe that God exists. Does this sound familiar?
Refusing to believe that God exists, is what is causing much of the worlds strife today. It is diminishing the consciousness of the planet as a whole. Gods Grace is undiminishing, yet sometimes children need to learn valuable lessons the hard way!
If I have said anything wrong I ask for your forgiveness and the forgiveness of God.

Religion:- Religion is a system of beliefs and worships which includes a code of ethics and a philosophy of life. There are many religions in the world today. Some of these religions are of recent origin but most of them are very old. In fact we know from history that man has always had a religion. Even the primitive men living in caves or jungles had some sort of religion. The concepts and rituals in man's religion have CONTINUALLY evolved and become more rational and sophisticated as time went on. The primitive religions of the Cave Man and the Bush Man gave rise to the modern religions of the past three thousand years. Today, the major religions of the world include: World Religion ----- Originated in Zoroastrianism ----- Iran Confucianism ----- China Hinduism ------ India Taoism ------ China Jainism ------ India Judaism ------ Neat East Christianity ------ Near East Islam ------ Near East Buddhism ------- India Shinto ------- Japan These are the great religions of the world which are not only responsible for all our accumulated wealth of wisdom, philosophy, ethics, and social and moral codes, but have influenced the culture, the language and the moral attitudes of almost every PERSON living today. Difference between Religious and Non Religious Peoples. 1. The religious people believe in something while the others do not. 2. The religious people perform certain acts of worship while the others do not. 3. The religious people seem to follow a certain code for their social and moral behaviour while the others do not. 4. The religious people find a purpose of life and have a definite philosophy towards it, while the others do not.

I believe in God because there must be a cause. Science only goes so far, in that it studies the effects, but cannot determine a cause. For instance, science can conclude that material bodies evolve from single cell organisms to more complex organisms, but science cannot determine the cause of the life within the organisms. Experimentation has not produced life within an organism that doesn't already contain life, nor can science reanimate an organism that is no longer alive.
Life comes from life. That is a solid hypothesis. This hypothesis can be observed and reproduced. But, what science is unable to conclude is the cause of life. Everyone can see that people come from their parents, and their parents before them, and so on, indefinitely. Who was the first parent? What is the original spark of life? Even atomically speaking, what is the origin? Scientists are always claiming, "one day we will create life", but this is like a post-dated check. What is the use of it? No, this is a waste of time. The origin of life is life.
That original life is what we call God. People are too hung-up on the word "God". The word itself is too limited in scope, because it denotes just one aspect of an unlimited concept.

There is one problem to your theory. Believing in Christ, Jesus (God) is not wrong. Our ancient fathers were very wise men, more wise than you are lead to believe by foolish textbooks advocating pseudo sciences. There was no such thing as athiesm in ancient times and there is a significant reason for this not to be taken lightly. Ancient manuscripts are filled with stories of supernatural occurences and beings. Can all these acconts be the working of an over-active imagination by the ancients? I think not!!! I haven't even mention the most faithful ancient manuscript of all, the bible!!!! Read it and ask God to open it up to you. Knock and it shall be opened!!!! Grow not weary in your seeking, my friend!!!!
God Bless

There is only 1 God. His name is Jesus Christ and there is no other god except for that one. We aren't wasting our time practicing our religions because one of us had to get here some way or another and because of this is because of our ancestors... it had to start with the first member of your family who has seen and met God even b4 he got up onto the cross. And we are humans so humans should believe in humans not animals (that is stupid)
:D ♥ p.s. sorry this is so long lol

its all about faith in what you dont know. It sounds stupid but, none of us know what really happens when you die.
I believe religion is just something that helps us except death and its uncertainty.
its scary to believe that once you die thats it, u no longer exist. the belief in life after death (which is something i believe in) is refreshing and also give me the strength to not be scared especially now that i've lost 4 people that i can say i've known very well. 2 friends and aunt and grandmother

GOD is never wrong :) its what we (people) do is mainly wrong. we do it because we have choice between wrong and right, and also this is because our ancestors ADAM and EVE ate from tree of knowledge of good and evil. (Convinced EVE by SATAN) Before that they were naked and didn't it was wrong, it right. after they are from that tree they realized they are made mistake but it was too late.

I guess being meaningless, primal, self centered, materialistic, cold, unfeeling, lifeless, soulless, unaccountable, carnal, molecular structures would make us a little more understanding and loving people.

We aren't wrong. There is a God. A better question would be, "What if I live my whole life without God only to discover he exists when I'm dead?". You really don't want to wait until you are dead. You need to give yourself over to Jesus now.
