Alright, I think that they can last. But then you have to trust her completely. because if you don't she may go off with another guy. make sure that she trusts you. And give it time. And after awhile you still feel that spark in your heart then ask her out.
And talk on the phone computer email and write letters!

No. I do not think that would work out for you. Chat rooms aren't the greatest places ever, and also who knows who this girl even is! There are really creepy people on the internet. So watch out! I don't think long distance relationships work that well even if you DO know the person. So sadly, I would say no, forget about it. I mean, I don't think there's really anything wrong with chatting, but never agree to meet anyone that you don't know. That's a terrible and scary thing to do. I think the old fashioned way is better. Just wait for the right girl to come along, don't go searching for her on the internet.

I never met somebody on the Internet, so this might be a little different! But my husband and i met in Germany, while he was in the army, and when he got out he had to go back to the states while i stayed in Germany! So for good a year we lived a long distance relationship until i finally moved here! It's definitely not easy, but if you truly love and trust each other I'd say yes...it is possible, but i say also... only for so long... do you know what i mean? So i wish you good luck!!!
I guess what made it possible for us at that time is that we talked on the phone about three times at least a day!!!! Thats crazy, but we needed it!!!

Well, you haven't known her that very long... I think you should give it some more time. If you two are really into each other after a couple of weeks or months, then sure - start a long distance relationship. Word of caution, though: she is in another country and it's going to be difficult to keep a relationship alive with her. When will you ever visit her? Don't you want to hold her and kiss her one day? When there's no physical aspect of a relationship, the relationship is usually headed for disaster...

I am old fashioned and believe that you cant date someone that you've never met. Because you cant get the true feel of someone and how they really are. There is alot of comfort from hiding behind a computer screen. You can be anyone you want to be; and that usually isnt the same person you are 'in person'. I say; get out there and date Locally! And I think you can have a long distance relationship if you have met them before you started 'dating' and you get to know them. Build a foundation first.

Let me see if I understand this...
I can tell you've given this a lot of thought...
You have "feelings" for a girl you've never met before...
You're going to fly thousands of miles to "see" her...
There are no girls at all where you live that you would ever "hit it off with" in the same way, even though you can actually "talk" to them for "real," and you can actually "see" them face-to-face, without having to spend a lot of money traveling thousands of miles to meet a girl who might turn out to be a transvestite, who might roll you in a cheap motel in the Philipines, leaving you stranded in the middle of nowhere without any money to get back to the states...(or worse)
Sounds reasonable to me...

a week is to short. you gatta be sure that the person you are talking to is the person you u think you are talking to. you gatta be careful with those things. but a long distance relationship is very possible and many times more of a success then a relationship with a person you see everyday. but its also really hard cause you gatta trust each other and you are probebly ganna wonder all the time are they cheatin on me but if you trust and love them they it wont bother as much. but i think you need to know someone more than a week before visiting or starting the relationship

Yes it is possible to have a long distance relationship and it also could be bad because you will be home wondering how come you stop hearing from her all of a sudden and you might decibes to go visit her and get your heart broken. Just take your time and think it over carefully.

Yes, it's possible, but not really convenient for either side, unless you like, move or something. Yet at the same time, modern technology has become so sophisticated that it may be easy enough to manage. I guess it all depends!

First make the relationship stronger and make sure she feels the same about you. Then you can if you like go to her but you might be in for a surprise or you can if your younger then 18 call her parents and plan a surprise party (if you like).
