Need to know what size tires you want to run. For up to 31" tires the cheapest would be a "budget boot" or spring spacer lift. You can find these for a few hundred dollars at http://www.quadratech.com and numerous other sites. The prices will all be about the same, don't be fooled by a really cheap one, it most likely won't come with shocks!

For tires in the 33" range you're going to need a 5" lift. The cheapest way to do it would be 2" spring spacers, (2 to 3 hundred bux) and 3" suspension lift (obviously a 4" spring lift and one inch spacers will net the same result. The most popular ones for Cherokee's seem to be the IRO lifts. They'll run you about $350 for a 3" lift and $450 for a 4.5" lift.

If you want to go really big, like a 6" plus spring lift for 35" tires you'll need to spend $1k for a short arm, and closed to $2k for the better riding/flexing long arm suspension, not to mention you'll probably need a new drive shaft and SYE (about $500)- try Rubicon Express or Full Traction for one of those.

to be honest there is no best way to go about lifts it all comes down to how much you. Are you going to wheel it quite a bit, is it going to be a daily driver, how much you wanna spend? all these things go into finding that perfect lift and the accessories needed to keep that jeep running right.

Heres a place no one ever uses: rustysoffroad.com. for the longest time these guys specialized in just cherokee lift kits but now they do all jeeps. my brother got his lift from them their pretty cheap but their in Georgia and if you live in california like me thats always usually a lot for shipping but like i said their cheap and the quality of their lifts are excellent.

You --WILL -- need a slip yoke eliminator shaft and a new driveline 530.00 bucks or so. I just went through this with mine,it is a major pain in the *** but it will give you the desired results. Most lift kits say 3 inch lift, dont believe it ,more like a 6 inch lift in the rear at least.
Check out the Cherokee sites but dont believe everything you read. Mix and match kits if you want it to sit level.

Your best bet would be to buy the kit and install it yourself. Some places will charge and extra $500+ to install the kit. Here are some websites that sell the lift kits.

Prices will be determined by what size lift you are planning on getting, and if it is a body lift or a suspension lift (I perfer suspension lift).

Online, check "rancho suspension" or Rancho Lift Kits. Last time I did one it ran me about $700.00 for 3" lift. You don't want to go 4" or higher with out having to do a lot more to your vehicle to prevent serious problems with drive shaft issues, etc.
