If the dog acts as if he is itching (biting at or licking the red blisters), it is probably bites (ant or flea). Make sure there are no biting insects still on him and if needed, wash with flea soap. Give him a benadryl in a piece of cheese...that will help with the itching and swelling.

Sounds like maybe a allergic reaction to something. I would definitely check him/her for fleas sometimes all it takes is one flea bite in some dogs to cause irritation. Could be something outside, dogs develop allergies like we do, maybe years then one day, grass, or pollens drive them nuts. And also could maybe be something new you are using in the home. Could be some possibilities but to be sure i would have your vet look at him/her before it gets out of control on ya! Good luck

My dog has red bumps on her belly right now because of fleas. Also, she gets them sometimes after rolling in the grass. If you are concerned, you can take him/her to the vet but it's probably nothing to worry about.

He could have laid down on an ant hill. My dog has done that before and been bitten. Watch the area, and if it hasn't gotten noticeably better in a day or two, I'd take him to the vet.

Better bring your dog to the vet and have it checked out.

It's most likely an allergic reaction. Have your vet look at it.
