Neither actually wrote the books that are attributed to them.

Both lived and worked in almost the same area, geographically speaking.

Both are known by their followers as a prophet of God.

Both wore the same types of clothing.

Both claim to have spoken of and to the angel Gabriel.

Neither was a European in the classical sense.

Neither one knew or had spoken anything about America.

Both have passed.

Both share the prophet Abraham as a common ancestor.

Both had followers that carried their messages after they were gone.

Both are mentioned in The Quran as prophets of the Creator.

Have a pleasant day.

I see that some muslims have given some wonderful answers.
I just want to add some particular similarities.

- Both proclaim Monotheism (Mark 12:29; Koran 3:18)
- Both confirmed Torah (Matthew 5, Koran 3:3)
- Both emphasized their preaching on justice and perfection ("ihsan" or perfection = mercy, faithfulness, love) (Matt 23:23, 5:48; Luke 11:42; Holy Koran 16:90)

- Both Jesus and Muhammad brought good news to the poor (Isaiah 61:1)

Jesus said: "Blessed are you who are poor, for yours is the kingdom of God." (Matt 5:3, Luke 6:20)

Prophet Muhammad said: "I had a chance to look into the Paradise and I found that the overwhelming majority of those who entered therein was that of poor persons." (Sahih Bukhari/Muslim)

there is no difference between the life of Jesus/Muhammed because both are messengers from God to the people. This means both are prophets.
christianity as a religion is similar to islam because both are religions from the God but the followers of Jesus changed the Bible to convince the people that Jesus was God and not a prophet from the God and put the forgiveness theory that his blood for the sins of the humanity to deceive the devil but in truth the devil deceived them because Jesus was not killed but the God made him dead and raised him to return back at the end of the world to break the cross and kill the pig and invite the people to worship only the God . JUDAISM, CHRISTIANITY AND ISLAM ARE ONE RELIGION CAME FROM THE GOD,THE LORD,THE ALMIGHTY OR ALLAH
( all are the same).

Jesus and Muhammad were both the bringers of their religions but neither documented their holy books on their own. Islam recognizes both as prophets. Both play a very significant role in their religions. They were both without fathers.
Christianity and Islam share the same moral values do not steel do not lie etc. but differ in their thoughts of Jesus. In Christianity Jesus is worshipped, in Islam only Allah is worshipped. They are both monotheistic religions believing in one God. Hope I could help.

An addict does not need a substance. The pusher of one will end up in big trouble. The pusher or the other will make big money by the rich cronies in the republican party. Both addicts can lose loved ones from the loved ones not being able to stay in their life because of the addiction. Both can cost a person a ton of money. Both are so hard to get through & often impossible to get through.to so the family can be left heartbroken.

Great question Samuel. Because I am fairly new to Islam and don't feel qualified to answer as well as other Muslims of longer duration, I would like to refer you to the following website that has an article on the similarities between Islam and Christianity and I hope you find this helpful:

Very few. Deutronomy 18 18 GOD says to Moses
15 “The LORD your God will raise up for you a Prophet like me from your midst, from your brethren. Him you shall hear, 16 according to all you desired of the LORD your God in Horeb in the day of the assembly, saying, ‘Let me not hear again the voice of the LORD my God, nor let me see this great fire anymore, lest I die.’
17 “And the LORD said to me: ‘What they have spoken is good. 18 I will raise up for them a Prophet like you from among their brethren, and will put My words in His mouth, and He shall speak to them all that I command Him. 19 And it shall be that whoever will not hear My words, which He speaks in My name, I will require it of him. 20 But the prophet who presumes to speak a word in My name, which I have not commanded him to speak, or who speaks in the name of other gods, that prophet shall die.’ 21 And if you say in your heart, ‘How shall we know the word which the LORD has not spoken?’— 22 when a prophet speaks in the name of the LORD, if the thing does not happen or come to pass, that is the thing which the LORD has not spoken; the prophet has spoken it presumptuously; you shall not be afraid of him.

The similarities between Moses and Mohommed however are startling being both had parents but were adopted, Jesus only had a mother. Moses and Mohommed had children, Jesus had none. Moses and Mohommed were both born naturally, Jesus had no father. Moses and Mohommed were accepted by their people, Jesus was rejected. Moses and Mohommed were rulers inflicting capital punishment whereas Jesus did not (John 18 36) Moses and Mohommed came with new Laws whereas Jesus followed the law (Matt 5 17) Moses and Mohommed led their people to a land for their people. Jesus did not. Moses and Mohommed won battles against their enemies. Jesus never fought battles in the worldly sense. Moses and Mohommed both died natural deaths whereas Jesus did not. Moses and Mohommed were prophets whereas Christians believe Jesus was the son of God. Both Moses and Mohommed were given prophethood at 40, Jesus 33.
Christians believe Jesus was resurrected whereas Moses and Mohommed were not. I think this is enough to point out. Hope it was helpful

Similarities between the prophets Muhammad & Jesus (Blessings of Allah be upon them):

You can not really compare both except that they were both messengers of God, but I will try to explain some similarities:

1- Both Messengers of God
2- Both where kind and giving
3- Both commanded their followers to wosrhip God and God alone.
4- Both are examples of servants of God
5- Both commanded to be kind to others
6- Both spend a lot of time in meditation
7- Both were foretold about in the bible
8- Both are mentioned by name in the Quran. (Jesus is mentioned more times by name by the way)
9- Both come from the line of prophet Adam and prophet Abraham (peace and blessings be upon them)

If you want you can email me and we can talk about specifics is just hard to answer your question in one small paragraph

I know more things that are not similar.Jesus was sinless and Muhammed took a different route. Jesus confirmed the Old Testament. Muhammed changed the Bible message.

Both of them prayed to the God of Abraham. Jesus was an example here on earth and teacher, but also fully God.
