no, they inject a tiny bit of fluid just under your skin. then you come back after 2 days to get it read. if you have a positive reaction (the spot gets inflamed to a 10 mm diameter) and lots of people get positive reactions, then you get sent to get a chest x-ray too. no blod taken, but you get a tiny injection that hurt a whole lot less than a blood test

The TB test is a very simple one. You are given a small shot, generally in the arm. This is done with a ver ysmall needle and is generally not even felt, if you do feel anything, it is much less than any bug bite. Three to four days later, you will be asked to return. If there is red coloring or iritation in the area you were given the shot, you show positive, no reaction to the shot is a negative result.

No, they inject your arm ( the forearm) with a liquid, and then a few days later about 2 weeks, you go back and they measure the bump it makes... If it makes a hugh bump, that means you have been exposed to TB and will get x-rays and INH meds for 6 months. You will also never have to take one again if you test pos.(for exposure, not actual TB) but every year you have to fill out a questionaire about your health... If it is a small bump, or no bump at all, you will just repeat the test the next time you need one.

TB tests are just a little air that is put under the skin on the forearm. You will go back in 2 days to have it read. If there is no red marks you are fine and have tested negative to TB. It is no worse than a pin prick.

TB tests are a snap. They just stick a needle under the top layer of your skin and inject a tiny amount of it to see if you get a reaction over the next few days. It doesn't even hurt!

No, usually the test for TB is a tine test. They insert a tiny four-pronged device into your arm and you have to be rechecked in 48 hours to see if any swelling and redness occurs at the site of the stick. It looks a bit like a button with four holes in it on your arm right after they do it.

No, a small needle will be place just under the skin and a small amount of fluid will be placed for your body to absorb. You will return to the clinic a few days later for them to read the results. Normal results the site should be virtually undetectable, positive results a swollen red site.

Most medical facilities still use the TB Prick test that breaks the skin and it doesn't hurt.
