I know what i believe, and that wont ever change... i'm just curious. I've read up on other religions and all have the same basic principles ..... some form of sin or wrongdoing, some form of a need for redemption, attrition, or restitution for offenses, and all have a form of what is 'heaven' or 'eternity' per that particular religion. I am under the assumption/impression that mine is the most practical and logical, but i dont despise the beliefs of others.
I'm just curious..... which one do you think, is the most logical? As in, not fruity and nutty in theory or practical application of its core belief system.... but, it just makes sense?

Christianity is by far the most logical.

Most religions teach that a person is "saved/redeemed" or whatever by works.

Christianity teaches that it is by the "grace" of God we are given life and salvation.

This is God's gift to humans. Once a human realizes this a "-change-" occurs within a person's heart and from this comes the building of a new life in the light that God has given.
2Corinthians 4:6
For God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, hath shined in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.

Salvation by this Grace - the very love from and of God to us.

No other religion has this concept nor any of the other beautiful teachings of God and from God through Christ.

I think that the religion that would be most logical or practical would depend on the individual asking.

If there was one religion that made sense to everyone, wouldn't we all be practicing that one religion? There are hundreds of different religions, some which do have some sense of sin and redemption, and some (a whole lot) that don't.

So when it comes down to it, its up to an individual to figure out what works best for them. Each individual can choose what religion is the most logical or practical, and what might be logical to one person may not be logical for another. So picking which one is best is an individual's decision.

My theory is that as long as you believe there is a God and Heaven and that Jesus paid for you salvation by duing on the cross than you have what you need to fight the "devil" so to speak. I think so religions are over the top but who am I to say. For what works for me may not work for you and vice versa. Some people need strict doctrine others not. As long as you know that you are not to sin and must repent for your sins I think we are all on the same page. We all use some form of scripture. There are many interpretations of the Bible out there and that is probably why,. we are all different. And you know I think maybe that is a good thing. I am non denominational Christian. I have been to other churches was raised lutheran but this is what works for me and this is where I found my comfort. After all aren't we supposed to find comfort in God. I have a hard time with the strict Catholic faith because I do not think God intended us to be scared into doing the right things. That is why we have free will. I think He wanted it to be our Choice. I do not know but I could really go on and on.I just know what works for me and it is worship, walk, work and the three keep me on the path to God and His Kingdom that is promised to me.

well, first off, you are going to get a bunch of people supporting their own belief. With my own faith and personal belief-- eclectic Wicca-- I feel that the one outstanding law of Wiccans-- "An ye harm no other, do as ye will..." is most logical, most simplified, and easiest to follow. K.I.S.S. acronym-- keep it simple, stupid! How many other religions can have ALL of their rules summed up in such a short, simple phrase? If everyone in the world lived their lives by that philosophy, it would be such a better place.....

Probably Buddhism for me. I can't quite believe in reincarnation, but I like how the religion works, and I love how free it seems. I love the incorporation of energy in the religion, and Buddhism is the religion I might consider if I moved away from being an atheist.

In all major religions, the followers strive to rid themselves of sin through various practices. They may pray in a prescribed way, do various good works, deny themselves legitimate sexual pleasure, follow dietary restrictions, lie on beds of nails, etc. The uniqueness of Jesus is shown in His statement, "The Son of Man has power on earth to forgive sins." No other religious leader has ever made this claim. Jesus Christ alone can wash away every sin anyone has ever committed, be-cause of what He did on the cross. By paying the penalty for our sin, He can release us from the torture of guilt. We cannot do anything in the way of religious works to wash away our sins. Forgiveness is a free gift of God (Ephesians 2:8,9).

Religions are anti-logical, by definition. Nice try, though.
