Rubbish. Morals and ethics are based on love and reason. If a god helps someone get there, good for them. But if someone is judging other people in this manner, he/she hasn't gotten there themself yet. Not even close.

Some people wouldn't have any morals if they didn't fear God's wrath.
That doesn't prove there is a God - only that some people are only decent to avoid punishment.

I agree with whoever told you this. They probably meant,Without God there are no moral ABSOLUTES. I would hate to live in a world where humans made up their own morals as they went along. Oh we're just about to that point , today. Kill where it's convenient. Have sex with whomever , however you want. Make up God as you go along to suit your lifestyle etc.
Tabula, Chimps will gang up on each other and gouge each others eyes out and rip their limbs off. You've been misinformed.

Punch, The other person gave you some good info! God is a spirit, and He is a spirit of goodness. The absence of God would leave a dark, demonic world. Only evil would exist in the absence of goodness and it would be literal hell on earth.
