Hi. I'm 17 and I've been loosing weight (unintentionally) since around February. I think its cos I've been getting out of the house a lot more and walking quite a bit. I also blame my girlfriend, cos girls r just so stressful... lol. Anyway... my mum is concerned that I'm loosing too much weight, but I prefer the way I am now to how I was. I'm not thin, but I am a fair bit thinner (my trousers are loose... go me!). However, I've noticed that I've lost more weight around my ribs which makes me look thinner than I am, but I've kept the weight on my hips, belly and chest. How can I loose the fat from these areas without loosing anymore around my ribs? I'm thinking about joining a gym.

Do it mate, the gym is the way to target the certain areas you want to... Otherwise, try to eat more and build muscle instead of losing fat, turn it into strength.
Weights are always good.

Im sorry m8 sounds like you are like me. What has actually happened is that the weight you lost is probably muscle seems though the fat has remained behind. get training quick and dont forget when you gain muscle and lose fat you may still weight the same ok you will look and fel better. I did

to be honest the best way is not to go on a diet as ive tried them all and diet pills and they dont work lol but just change your diet and go swimming 4-5 times a week for about an hour each time it tones your tummy and all your body up wonderful too ! i lost 2 stone since may its great and i eat loads too im just eating the right foods but instead of swimming try aqua arobics its great and really fun ! great question star for you and goodluck !

cardio is the only fat burning exercise - do it 4-6 times a week for 30-50min (ideally 45min) and the thing why you are seeing your ribs is because you need to do some weight training and gain muscle - do it 3-4 times a week.
dont forget to drink plenty of water and eat protein after working out - it repairs muscles, also 5-8 servings of fruit and veggies a day and complex carbs for breakfast - they give you energy.

Why join the Gym?

I mean the problem areas of yours is easy to tackle

What you want to do is situps, why you think you have alot of weight there is because its untoned, its flabby. All you have to do is situps vary this to the 4 types and 1 hour each day

Swimming is very good, gets ur body in shape and makes ur arms and legs strong and muscly too. Water Polo players are hot!!!

gyms are expensive
just try running.
u'll feel better for it.
