Well I definitely recommend getting fish. You don't have to exercise it or let it out to go to the bathroom. I started out with fish then I added a turtle to my pets and put fish in that tank. I would recommend guppies or tetras or betas. I have taken care of all of those. Also, goldfish from Wal-Mart, I have one and he is 3 years old. If they die it is only 10 cents. Then you slowly gain trust with your parents that you can take care of an animal. If you want a cuddley animal I would say rabbits. I had two rabbits and they are fairly easy to take care of. Rabbits do smell though.

It depends on you and where you live.

If you tend to play a bit rough, get a dog: A lot of them like that sort of thing. But remember that the dog will have to be trained, and will need a lot of attention.

If you want a pet that's soft and furry, get a cat. But remember that you will need kitty litter, and that the litter has to be cleaned every day.

If you want a pet that doesn't need much room, you could try goldfish. But remember to keep the bowl clean and out of direct sunlight. And remember not to overfeed the fish.

Good luck!

Hermit crabs if you don't have too much time for them. Dogs and cats need a lot of attention and live for a long time. So you'll need commitment if you get dogs and cats and not recommended as first pet unless your parents are willing to take care of them.

Start off small with a hamster, fish, turtle, or maybe a little bird if you like those. Buy a book about your pet when you get one so you know how to care for it properly.

a fish
u should get a couple because not many people understand that it is actually tedious to care for fish
u have to clean its tank, feed them, scoop out dead fish, change filter, protect baby fish from mothers or other fish...
trust me
i have a huge tank of guppies and its pretty cool

fish...but it really depends on what your willing to be responsible for....like i got a dog last summer and by the time school started i was ready to ship her to the shelter.....but luckily my mom took over for me....so if your a responsible person just go for whatever you like...
