Cats are definitely creatures of habit, but they're also VERY adaptable. As long as they know where you and their food dish is, they're happy. We've moved many times with our cats. Changing owners is a different thing entirely. They can get very depressed and actually mourn the loss of their previous owner.

He is partly right. Cats don't like moving but they will eventually get used to a new place. If it is outdoor cat you do need to retrain the cat to stay and come back to your house. I had to do that with a cat I adopted from the pound. I kep her in the laundry at first to get used to me. i would go in there and spend time with her. then I would feed her outside and then bring her back in. hen i would feed her and let her spend some time outside and then i would extend the time. You would have to do this everytime you move. If it is an indoor cat it is not so much of a problem.

I depends on the cat. But it is generally very tramatic for a cat to move and sometimes they will run away and try to go back to the old house. If the cat is highly attached to you though, it should do better as long as it's still with you.

Its not that big of a deal. When we got our cat from another home she acted if it was already her house the first day and was laying in everything. It is disoreinting but the cat isnt going to be that affected. The only thing you have to teach them is that the litter box moved.

Yes, it is true that cats don't like moving. But after hiding about 3 days or so, they usually come out to explore.
There is another thing to keep in mind: If you're in the middle of moving, the chaos with carrying stuff around might be traumatic to the kitty. I had to deal with an idiot trailer mover who wouldn't even wait the two minutes I should have needed to catch one of my felines and crate her- and we ended up losing at least 15, thanks to him being a dopebrain and scaring her half to death.
So you will want to get things settled, for both your peace of mind and your future feline friend's.
Good luck with the move!

1. no you are not being unreasonable you just do not want the cat in your bed and hair everywhere 2. your husband probably thinks you hates cats because you don't want it near your room and stuff and that everytime you comr back it gets sick so he probably thinks you are trying to get it unwell on purpose because he thinks you want it to die

Just like humans, it takes cats a while to adjust to the new enviroment.
