Light don't have to flash. Most on the time they don't. If light is on there is a problem. In just a few minutes a technician can determine the problem. Most of the time it's an easy fix.

*A flashing check engine light is the worst type. Serious engine damage will result if you continue to drive the car. Any Chrysler Dealer will tell you the same thing! Your problems will be over, when you learn the Chrysler dealer can *pin-point the exact cause of the check engine light. The non-mechanics at Auto Zone CAN NOT!

through my experience.i have late model cars mostly the engine runs on computer chips if your check engine light stays on its not necessary a big problem it could be as little as a loose gas cap loose wire etc.your best bet bring to ford or mercy dealer have them run a check on it.

Go to autozone and check the codes yourself. If they have a meter, most of them do. You might just need general maint. or a tuneup.
