Perhaps it's because they don't PERCEIVE them as lies. More importantly, why do YOU have to attack them for trying to find an answer that will appeal to their sense of
Spirituality?
Now, if they're lying to YOU in person, then go right ahead and stand up and walk out on them. The last time I checked, there were NO "Religion Police" out there forcing people to listen to one or another religious group's preachings. And you certainly do NOT have to speak up on the behalf of the REST of us. Speaking for myself, I'm an adult, I can decide for MYSELF who I wish to listen to or not listen to. YOU are using the VERY SAME methods that you point to in THEIR ways to press YOUR viewpoints. The ONLY difference IS, YOU do NOT have a Holy Book that you can misuse to find passages to support YOUR agenda. PLEASE !!!! Grow up and try to keep your questions, comments, and criticisms to a mature level. Treat other people nicely and with respect. You just might find that you are treated with niceness and respect in return, and that has nothing to do with a religious outlook, it has to do with a SOCIAL outlook. BE sociable and folks will treat you in the same fashion. Attack folks and you can COUNT on being attacked in return, my friend.

It's all about faith, which goes beyond rational explanation. Much tragedy has resulted from religious intolerance. Best just to turn the other cheek.

Um ... now who was it who said that?

dude if you don't believe don't ask that question. explaining it to person who don't believe its like hitting the wall with your head, too much pain and no result.
