Like my last question, I saw this posted elsewhere. Without giving away my own thoughts (at least at first), what is your opinion?

Heh, I'm not sure why I even bothered asking this, since the answers are predictable.

delisha: Mock? If they feel that being predictable is bad, then I suppose so... but I didn't make fun of people. It's just that you always see the breakdown. Do you not agree that questions are pointless if one already knows exactly what others will say? After so many answers, I was hoping for something more...

You asked a question that was dead end and then you mock all that answered like an ungratefully wretch. God and the devil are two sides of the same coin. God and the devil mark all that some one has worked for what if the truth was not even complex at it is all made out to be. What if god is a manifestation of what humans are truly capable of?

Well, if you come at this from the Bible, using it as your sole source, then the answer is true.
According to that book the Devil is God's Devil. See Job, chapter 1, the Devil does nothing without God's permission.
Also in Isa. 45:7 God says the He creates evil, and don't give me any interpretation thing, the word in Hebrew is "ra", I know in other modern translations it is translated "disaster" but it is the same Hebrew word used in the "tree of good and evil" the word is used over a hundred times in the OT. The message is clear.

False.
While God created the Devil the Devil was cast out of heaven by God. Good cannot exist without evil so in that sense they both have to exist, but this has no bearing on whether God and the Devil are the same being.

False, there use to be God and then the "Devil" was an angel (one of the highest angels) so that shows God could exsist without the Devil in a since to the Light could not exist without dark comment. The two (devil and God) are not the same

True, they could not exist without each other. Without evil, there is no good, and without good there can be no evil. Every comic book hero has to have a super villain to have any purpose. Without the darkness, there can be no light. Gods and Devils are no different.

FALSE! The Devil once was an Angel (the most perfect angel god ever created) who because of his own vanity and pride, tried to lead a revolt against God and was cast out.

Actually, I did wonder if Lucifer and Jesus were the same persona.
Some weird things match. Like they were both referred to as the Morning Star.
Both seemed to be bent on bringing knowledge to humans that directly defied said human's present belief. As in God.
If you want to go there....
