I've been with this guy for over a year. we havent been dating the whole time, but we have pretty much been together. He is the only guy i wanna be with & basically the only one i even think about. we have sex & all that & we are basically together & most people look at it that way. We talked about why don't date one time and he said we get along better when we don't date but i still wish we were officially together. how can i get him to ask me out officially?

Stop sleeping with him! "Why buy the cow when you can get the milk for free?" Does that sound familiar at all??? Why would he want to be committed and tied down to you when he can be single and still get some nooky whenever he wants it?? You're letting him use you and your body and you have nothing to show for it. If he's not ready to make a commitment to you and be your official boyfriend, then he's telling you that you're only good enough for sex and not good enough for dating. Wise up!

I think Happy Biggirl is right .. i mean this guy sounds sick . you should be looking for a person who can respect your feelings and your body not a person who knows he can take you for a ride in which he will have all the enjoyment and you have to do the work .. its just not fair at all..

If you are together then what is the big deal about dating?
I think I would ask what exactly is your relationship...do you have one or is he just passing his time with you.
Find out where he thinks you are at together and then decide what you want to do according to his answer.
