Pizza period. I don't care where it's from. And to add a bit of trivia, when pizza was first introduced to America it was known as tomato pie.

Gotta go with New York. I live in Phoenix and unfortunately never had the real thing- but we have some pretty good New York style pizza places out here. Chicago style is ok, but too much for me.

I'm with you. New York pizza is the best. I was raised on Long Island and now am in the midwest. I miss the taste of a good downtown slice.

I just don't think they are the same category of food. How can they be compared?
They are both brilliant, when done correctly. As a New Yorker, my mouth is watering, but I can still appreciate the food stuffs the Chicagoists call "pizza." I just don't understand why they insist on calling it "pizza" when it is so obviously more like a tart or a tortilla (spanish) or...why not their own? Oh, well.
Damn, I'm hungry!
