okay so today is Fathers Day and were gnna go 2 my grandparents house for like 5 min and that dont like me so i didnt want to go! my dad said okay at first then my brother started SCREAMING and saying i was a brat so my dad said i had to come, but my little sister knew i hated thier negative attitude and how they always LIE about me so she stuck up for me! i didnt even ask her 2 but she did. my dad was soooo pissed he said in a loud voice, not yelling, 'fine she can stay im sick of talking to her' so im at home now, was i being a brat by not wanting to go?? because before you answer, know that they LIE about me!!

I am so sorry you don't have a good relationship with your grandparents. I thought my grandparents were the best. They let us get away with so much. If they don't like you and lie about you then chances are your father is probably not all that fond of them either and only going because he feel obligated. I hope the rest of you day went okay and that you got to spend some good time with your dad.

It sounds like you have a lot of drama and issues with your grandparents. I think you should got talk with your grandparents and figure out why they're lying and are so mean to you. I understand that you didn't want to go there, I know I wouldn't, but it would have been nice, since it's fathers day and all. You weren't a brat for doing that, you were just upset and frustrated. Please try to figure things out with your grandparents because their probably nice people underneath. Hope this helps and good luck!!

The situation you are in sucks, but I would have just sucked it up and went, and put your fake smile on. It wasn't like you were going to be stuck there long.
After all, it is Father's Day, so it wasn't that nice of you to give your Dad a hard time.
I know it sucks, but he is your Dad and you should respect him, even if you are right and your grandparents say things about you that arent true.
The bottom line is, you are still a kid and have to abide by his rules until you are 18 and can support yourself.
Until then, you are going to have to put up with a TON of bullshit that you don't agree with or is unfair.
Oh, by the way, your grandparents won't always be around either, so if you have a misunderstanding with them, try to work it out. Get to the bottom of it.

Lie about you how? And to whom? And why do you think they do it?
Are they your dad's parents or your mom's?
Maybe it hurt your dad's feelings that you didn't want to visit his folks?
Even if someone lies about you or doesn't seem to like you, you can always just go along, keep to yourself while you're there and let everyone else do the talking, put up with it for an afternoon, and then go home. No need to make it into a big deal, like it is wrecking your entire life. You have more control over what is good and what is bad in your life than you think you do.

Today is a Holiday - go with the flow and be kind. Just like Christmas! You put to much stress on your Dad and you know what "it's Fathers day"! You are being self loathing today....that means you are being a brat....think about that.

Think your first and last question have something to do with each other?
First you say "I hate my life" then you say "was I being a brat by not wanting to go?" So do you think you hate your life because you are a brat or what?
Whether they lie about you or not, you should respect your elders. Maybe if you were around them more they would grow to like you, if you were not a brat, and would not lie about you. Lots to think about, eh?

Just tell your dad that you are old enough to make your own decisions and take care of your self!And you should also thank your sister that she stood up for you to your dad anyway good luck!

i dont think you were being a brat. if you dont want to go that is understandable. i dont see the big deal anyway.
