They are not going to take in a person who weighs 320. Lose anout 160 pounds first.

Depending on your height as to how much you weigh at the MEPPS, it is above the standards the Military has for it's Soldiers. Then you have to be at or under the weight limit OR pass a tape test (body fat index). I was over weight for Military standards but had less than 9% body fat so it was ok. Once you get in you will have no problems staying within the limits.
Good Luck

You can go work out with the Army DEP program when the work out with people that are in the DEP program waiting to ship out. You would have to go to your local recruiting office and talk to them. Tell them you want to enlist in the Army but obviously you aren't withing weight standard to enlist. Ask them if you can work out with the them and the DEPPERS to help you lose weight. If you are a good prospect for being recruited except for your weight issues they would probably be more than willing to work with you to help you lose weight. But to answer your question there isn't any post enlistment programs to lose weight. If you do lose the weight and get in and then gain the weight back they can separate you from the Army if you don't get back down to the legal weight range.

You will not get in weighing that much, the doctor doing your physical exam at the MEPS (Military Entrance Processing Station) will see to that. Start an exercise program and a healthy diet, so hopefully you can cut some weight and attempt to join in the future.

Good luck, and thank you for your desire to serve your country.

at your current weight you could not get into the Army or any military branch for that matter the recruiter would tell you to lose at least 100 + pounds you have to be a certain weight to get in any of the military branches even if you do qualifie for anything the Army wouldn't take you because of the potential health risks. when i went in to the Army there was a girl who was 1 pound over weight and they told her to lose that one pound or she couldn't join she wasn't able to lose that one pound the next day and they told her to come back when she lost the weight

Damn kid I dont think you could jion the salvation army at that wieght!
Wow, what would a 320 pound soldier be good for. If you dont have the discipline to lose it on your own. The millitary is no place for you!!! Sound mean? Then the millitary is really no place for you. And it is spelled wieght.

you must be at weight standards before you ship out.

the camp you are referring to is for people who do not meet the minimum Physical Fitness requirements when first showing up, or are only a few pounds(less than 10) from the standards.

Sorry, you would have to be of height and weight proportions before going in. Just see a recruiter for the best information available.
