My mom is making a banana pudding & it called for 3 cups of milk. She used it & it never formed into a pudding. Does anyone have any suggestions? Thanks

My mom is making it from scratch & the recipe she's using called for 3 cups of milk. But it never formed into the pudding. Any suggestions? Thanks.

I thought they called for two cups of milk for a 3.5 or 4 oz. package of pudding. That's too bad. I don't think you can rescue the soupy pudding....maybe pour some rum into it and have banana rum smoothies????

What Brand of pudding is it? Different brands of puddings call for different meaurements of milk. Plus if it was 3 cups of milk, you have to put it in the fridge longer like a day or so and it might form into pudding and if she mixed it for at least 10 minutes or until thick then it will form pudding.

i have only ever used 2 cups milk from when i make it.here is the recipe i use.

INGREDIENTS
2/3 cup white sugar
1/3 cup all-purpose flour
1/4 teaspoon salt
3 eggs, beaten
2 cups milk
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 tablespoons butter, softened
2 bananas, peeled and sliced
1/2 (12 ounce) package vanilla wafer cookies

DIRECTIONS
In medium saucepan combine sugar, flour and salt. Add eggs and stir well. Stir in milk, and cook over low heat, stirring constantly. When mixture begins to thicken, remove from heat and continue to stir, cooling slightly. Stir in vanilla and butter until smooth.
In 9x13-inch dish, layer pudding with bananas and vanilla wafers. Chill at least one hour in refrigerator before serving

depends on the quantity of banana you want to use.
