No, because spirtuality is a human trait and it does help to have some. Whether you believe in a certain book or make up your own, it is perfectly natural to take it very seriously since this spirituality is seen as the path to happiness.

We all have beliefs that can't be proven-not just religous people. Have you examined each and everyone of your beliefs to determine if you can prove that they are true or false. I doubt it.

Yeah my mom really goes into detail.
She knows enough bible info it start a cult, lol, (but she's wouldn't of course)

She knows I'm an Atheist and we discuss religion.
We both have a mutual respect that, that is what the other believes and we are careful of each others feelings.

But yeah, I am always amazed at how much a person can take, in the way of believing complete non-sense.

You believe this revelation of the past, gift and future of the history of the life? Until it shows the the opposite?
Then! Cientificamente you cannot deny true the historical one of this philosophy: Beyond the Universe the life also is infinite in the Land, and all the species also the man have certainly ancestral origin, where the pursuing of the life (for the future) results in an arrival to the past of Daily pay-History; e that finishes in return to the gift of Our Historia.

I circulate that our alternating History of Daily pay-History is happened again infinitely.

No more shocked than I am when I hear atheists discussing the theory of evolution , which is almost totally unproven , and the small part that is supposedly "proven" is a mixture of incompetence , fraud , archaological hanky-panky , and , in some cases , outright lies .

The Bible had one author .... God . The entire "theory" of evolution was , as per your own words , "written by men who, by their definition, are imperfect!!"

Yes, Sometimes I am. But I am also aware that in our evolutionary growth religion did have a place and a reason. We just have not yet grown enough where people are comfortable throwing off the beliefs of thousands of years.

The shock goes through me in waves so many times that I may now be immune to it. I slowly, but surely, get more and more used to the fact that some people are just plumb crazy and hopeless.

Not only shocked, but truly terrified. The christian fundies have the same level of belief as the islamic suicide bombers, and those who flew the planes on 9th september. The only difference is, they are working to take power through the democratic process. That way, they will have access to WMDs. A truly terrifying prospect.

Atheism. You know it makes sense.

I always think it is funny and scary when religious nuts wave their two thousand year old parchment in my face and scream that their loving god is going to send me to hell! Or when the television preachers say that if you send them hundreds of dollars that they will send a little peice of prayed over cloth to you, and you KNOW that there are fools sending them money.

Its not shocking, but sad. They try so hard to believe, yet they see no proof. Its sad to see people be indoctrinated ever since infancy by passed traditions.
