I recommend that you buy a pair of the padded practice pair as well and you can learn from a book or if you can find a teacher that is of course the best way. the pads will help you from knocking yourself out or someone else out.
Once you have gotten the padded ones down then swap to the real ones and be extra careful. IIF you re just swinging them around it can look cool but if you strike an object you had better be prepared for what is known as recoil and make sure it does not bounce back and crack you in the face.
This is where using the padded chucks will help. IF you cant find a teacher, buy a book, padded chucks and real ones and practice practice practice.
GOOD LUCK.

Aiight I love nun chucks I've been uing them for about 2 years and can even use double.
When u 1st start use foam nunchucks from a store for about $10 or a flea market about $5. Do a few basic moves learning from a good book or instructor (I hav an instructor) and start practicing but be careful when using wood, metal, double, or any combination
Good luck!

It's hard to learn how to use them from instructions. I have used them before. The best way is to go to your local karate dojo and takes karate lessons. At the dojo you can learn how to use different kinds of weapons and not just nunchucks.

The Badgers. I could easily carry them in a burlap bag. I would need thick leather gloves to reach into the bag, but it would require no skill to use them. Numb-Chucks are difficult to use. I once saw a guy knock himself with a pair. And I can hurl a Badger much further than I can swing a light-saber. Well you can throw the light-saber, but you can only do once. With the bag of Badgers I will have more ready in case I miss.

You swing them in a figure eight fashon and block with the chain part. You can turn it into a holding or chocking device as you would with a garrotte.

nunchucks are a pretty useless weapon, they are all for show, not very effective

Be careful. Training with any weapon can be dangerous, nunchaku are very prone to cause injury to the user.
