And we were created in his Image, then where is the LOVE.?

Jesus left us with one commandment,
that we love one another,
He didn't say only those that agreed with us,
or thought the same as us,
or believed the same as us.

In my brother George when he sent me directions to fix my car. In my brother-in-law who fixed it. In another friend who sent me the money to fix it. In my mother making dinner. In my young nephew's kisses. The love is here....You may have to look for it but it's here.

Whoever hates his brother is a murderer, and you know that no murderer has eternal life abiding in him. 1 John 3:15

Knowing God Through Love

7 Beloved, let us love one another, for love is of God; and everyone who loves is born of God and knows God. 8 He who does not love does not know God, for God is love. 9 In this the love of God was manifested toward us, that God has sent His only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through Him. 10 In this is love, not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son to be the propitiation for our sins. 11 Beloved, if God so loved us, we also ought to love one another. 1 John 4:7-11

20 If someone says, “I love God,” and hates his brother, he is a liar; for he who does not love his brother whom he has seen, how can[c] he love God whom he has not seen? 21 And this commandment we have from Him: that he who loves God must love his brother also. 1 John 4:20-21

For this is the love of God, that we keep His commandments. And His commandments are not burdensome. 1 John 5:3

It is only when a person is indwelt by God's Spirit, can this kind of love be displayed. Sin has separated us from God, and until we commit our lives to Jesus then we do not take on His attributes. Yes, there are various forms of love that are displayed by unbelievers, but God's kind of love is rich and pure, and unconditional.

that's a good question...the only love I see nowadays are in my neice's and nephew's eyes. Children are so friendly, and trusting, and I think we all should be more like kids. the other day i walked into a restaurant where a little girl in a high chair waved, smiled, and said "Hi!" with so much enthusiasim. thats the only love I see in the world now.

Yes, I agree. This should be the way the world is able to identify a true Christian. It should be evident in the way we live our lives. The Bible says we are the light of the world. Christians! Let your light shine to others so that it may bring glory to our Creator!

There is no difference between Love and Love of God. Love is the reciprocal relationship between the living entity and God. For humans, obedience to the laws of God is the same as Loving God, because obedience pleases God. What is the meaning of Love if there is no obedience? When we obey God, we become happy, because He reciprocates with us.

We are like the moon- reflectors of the sun. (or Son) But it is up to us to choose to reflect. I know there are times when I've let clouds come between me and my sun (or Son).

Because we are human and fallible, we all interpret things differently. If we are confused or disillusioned about what love really is then- we do not have a correct view and knowledge of who God is.

It seems that those with the "Holy Spirit" in them, are the ones who will most "show" the love for everyone, then those who are with out CHRIST.

And even then, those "with" the Holy Spirit in them sometimes forget, and backslide into the Worldly things, so, even they cant always be counted on... (Its why we need constant fellowship, so that we "dont" back slide in to the World).

I wish you well...

Jesse

If God is love, it's the twisted psycho kind of love that involves shackles, leather hoods and erotic asphyxiation, that sometimes kills the recipient--just ask the firstborn sons of Egypt
