He is aged 29 and was born in the UK and has an exemplary service record - would his ambition be difficult to achieve? Would he not be considered as he is not a US citizen?

Why leave the Royal Air Force? Can't he serve a few more years and retire from there? The Air Force might take him but I guess it depends on what he does. The problem is the Air Force is pretty full up with new recruits.

He needs to be a US citizen or have a Green Card for permanent residence in the US.

Very proud to hear this, may God bless your nephew. I am sure your nephew has heard much about the Democrat Politicians betraying our military, and giving info to the enemy of are soldiers where about in Iraq. So be sure to let him know this if he hasn't heard. This is the reason so many of our military soldiers have been killed in Iraq. So Please Tell Him To Be careful.

he cannot enlist unless he is a Legal Permanent US Resident with a green card. additionally, his prior service in another nation';s military could also be an issue.
