A month ago I had right sided facial numbness and tingling in my are and leg. I waited a few days and saw the Dr. He thought I might have had a stroke but the MRI was negative. I'm haaving the same problems now, this time with facial drooping on the right and dragging of m R. leg. I have a phone call into my Dr. but he hasn't called back. The local hospital isn't worth going to so we have to drive an hour to the next one. I would rather stay home and take a nap and see the Dr. in the am.

Maybe you have Bell's Palsy?
Bells palsy is a condition that causes the facial muscles to weaken or become paralyzed. It's caused by trauma to the 7th cranial nerve, and is not permanent.

I think your health is worth the hour drive.

Kinda cruel of you to have your daughter worry isn't it.

Clearly you are having stroke symptoms, so I think that you should get to the ER stat!!! You seem pretty calm about the fact that not only do you have something way out of the realm of normal going on with your body!!! I can understand not wanting to sit in an emergency room if you twisted an ankle or something that can wait. This doesn't fall into that category.

If you aren't gonna do it for yourself, then you should for your daughter, after all, if you do ignore stroke symptoms it is not just your "business" because you daughter is the one who is gonna need to take care of you, due, possibly to this neglect.

I'm sorry, but you have the classic signs of a stroke. You need to get to the ER right now. There are some meds they can give you, but they only have a small time frame in which to give them. Call an ambulence and go right now. Otherwise, the damage could be permanent. I'm a rehab nurse, and I help people who have had strokes everyday. Follow your daughter's advice.

I think you should have someone take you to the doctor one hour away. Your symptoms are that of a stroke, ignoring this could be deadly. Seek help now!

Don't put it off visit a a doctor,or if you don't want to see the same one request another,I think this is highly important.

I don't want to worry you,but you could havestroke symptoms. or even in the worst case MS (Multiple sclerosis).
