Hey! Thought id ask this question here sense the State Mental Health Services prefer to put me on meds instead of answering questions. Anyhoo... since I was about 15 I've heard and seen things and people that weren't there, became very paranoid and anxious when around groups of people, and have felt like Jeckyll / Hyde, in that a part of me likes people and wants to do something to help them...like teaching or ministry...but the other part of me hates people very strongly and only wants to see their affliction. Any ideas of what I might be suffering from? BTW... im on Geodon right now if that helps. Thanks :)

I don't have a medical degree. All I know about Mental Health is through self experience and personal research. The description of what you have gone/going through sounds like schizophrenia. I know that most of treatment is medication. I have bipolar disorder, and its very hard to swallow a pill hoping it will make you better, or knowing that you need a pill to make you, you. I would also try some form of therapy. Counseling, art, music, animal, etc. Surround yourself with what is soothing to you (provided its healthy, legal, and not self-destructive). This may not have helped in anyway, but this is my thoughts, opinions, and feelings. Good luck!

I am not a doctor but it does sound like you need meds but you need a therapist too. Have you talked to your parents about getting you a therapist to help you deal with your illness?

Possibly paranoid schizophrenia.

Stay on the meds if they help, so that you can have a normal life.

Sorry you have these hassles.

have you seen a psychologist? you need a pro to talk to about this. meds alone only fix half the issue.
