Dear Sugar,
Why the aggression? Most Protestants and catholics don't know about these charisms in Prostestantis. Many Protestants I know think that "monkery" is idolatrous and unprotestant and they need to be informed. They are the ones to get huffy at,ma chere, not me. I think Protestant monks, nuns and celibate religious are a wonderful help to the body of Christ!

Yes.

I understand Anglicans have Monks and Nuns. So do Lutherans. More so in Eastern Europe, but also in the west.

In Lutheran Church Canada, and Lutheran Church Missouri Synod, we have the Diaconate. The Diaconate is made up of lay men and women who have dedicated their life to the service of the Lord. They have received special training in various fields, some of which are Lay Ministry, administration, teaching, mission work, etc. These people are free to marry.
