oh yeah, i always doctor up store-bought hummus. grab some garlic, a little lemon juice, and whatever spice or additional ingredient will go nice with the flavor of hummus you got at the store....and toss in a blender/food processor. that way, the garlic and lemon get evenly distributed. plus, hummus is better the creamier it gets.
i always sprinkle a little red onion and tomato, finely diced, over the top, and another sprinkle of lemon juice right as i serve it, as well. gives it a nice zing!

INGREDIENTS
1 cup non-fat cottage cheese
1 (15.5 ounce) can cannellini beans, drained
1 bunch fresh basil, chopped
1 pint grape tomatoes, coarsely chopped
1 clove garlic, minced

why dont u make it next time, its alot less expensive and soo easy!
u can add whatever u like as well....just blend chick peas from can with the water that comes with it, add extra virgin olive oil, adobo or salt, garlic powder, lemon juice, and I think thats it, you can also add tahini, but if u cant find it or whatever, u can leave it out.
