DEI owns the car number 8 so when Dale Jr. moves over to Hendrick next year he will drive either the 25 or the 5. He will more than likely keep his sponsor Budweiser

DEI owns the #8. The only way that could happen is if Hendrick and DEI made some kind of deal. All the fans that have spent millions of dollars on the "#8 Bud." stuff would love to see that happen.

My feeling is that we will see him in the #5 Budweiser car next year. This whole thing kind of makes his "Driver #8" book from a few years back kind of a waste, huh?

NASCAR owns the numbers and teams pay to use them, so in the end it is NASCAR's call.
When Dale earnhardt left Ford to go to Richard Childress, he didn't take "15" with him, he took the "3" that Ricky Rudd drove for Childress. So what's the big deal with Junior? Change teams, change numbers. That's the bottom line.
