I just recently recovered from Anorexia and as school ended I keep thinking about how I'm gaining weight and I hate it! I mean I want to gain weight but I hate it when I look in the mirror! I cant stand constantly feeling fat! I'm 5' 4" and 110 pound the last time I checked. I probably gained even more but I'm too scared to check. Help me I dont know what I should do?

I also used to be very active. I did athletics in school Monday-Friday and did diving three times a week consisting of one hour of training and one hour of diving and I recently quit diving(now do tumbling once a week for one hour) and am out of school.

I've also recovered from Anorexia, I'm was the same way. No matter what the Anorexia (image) you see will never go go away, you will always see what you want to look like and what you are now. The difference is what you are now in weight is realistic and what you saw in your mind when you see yourself in the mirror is distorted. I will always see the 98 pds I was and now at 115 I look in the mirror & cringe sometimes thinking I'm fat, but I'm not. Never mind about the scale, don't look , I don't . What I do is take it one day at a time and remember what "you" see is not always what "it is". Keep fit, eat moderately and be proud of yourself, remember one of the reasons a person becomes Anorexic is they are not confident, not strong, not able, are perfectionists. Get strong, be confident & be happy with yourself! You go girl!

Trust me, being too skinny is ugly. You have the minimum possible weight for your height now. Gaining some wouldn't be a problem. keep thinking that you escaped a serious condition and health=beauty. I think you should gain 4-5 pounds more at least. Don't worry, try to do some moderate exercise (NOT running or aerobics), so that you'll see your body forming beautifully. However, you must only exercise if you can eat some more than you eat now, especially carbs! Because exercise makes you lose calories, so you need to eat more!

Your not fat at all! Being 110 lbs is not a bad weight! Its not healthy at all to be anorexic. So keep thinking to your self, its not healthy to be this skinny, and need to gain some weight. It may take you a while, but in the long run you will be glad. 110-120 is perfect weight, so dont be stressing!!!

No offense, but it sounds like you are not recovered. If you are still so preoccupied with your weight, you need to let a professional know immediately.

You need to continue your treatment. You're not fully recovered.
