What I would recommend is making health eating choice. Just because you are young does not mean you cannot start living healthy now. IF you must snack on something, try snacking on it during the early part of the day and eating well for the rest of the day. Consume less sugars, more fibre (fruits and veggies) and drink more water. Do not drink carbonated drinks and limit the juice unless it is freshly squeezed with no additives but the whole fruit is always better than juice. Also you can join after school activities, take up a sport or something. I do not really encourage 14 yr olds to weight train. I think at that stage you can try to be active in other ways. Continue running and do other sports that exercises muscles in the body.

Don't worry about your weight. Focus on fitness and nutrition. Make sure your diet includes a lot of fruits and veggies and whole grains. Also include a little meat and low fat dairy. Drink lots of water and leave soda for a once-in-a-while treat. Try to get a little exercise every day, especially cardio: walk, swim, bike, dance, run, play basketball, etc. You can also do some toning and stretching exercises to work on your abs, but don't worry about it too much. You're growing and maturing and your body will be changing. Check out exercise.about.com if you need some ideas for toning exercises.

I am a type 2 diabetic and have dermatitis herpetiformis ( also referred to to as skin celiac). I understand how hard it is to stay low carb,no sugar and gluten free. Unfortunately, the only way to deal with situation is to not eat the foods that cause me problems. I have spent years finding low calorie, low carb, gluten free foods that I like. You will have to find substitutes that you like ( or can at least live with) and then follow that diet religiously. You will not lose weight and maintain that loss unless you exercise regularly. It is not easy but it is the only way. Good luck.

Depends on your height...but what I recommend doing is sit ups and weight lifting.

sit ups tighten the stomach area and weight lifting is the only true metabolism "quickener" if you will.

It all depends on a number of things...your height and body frame type are two of the biggest factors.
