I have been laid off work for the past 11 months and I am behind on everything (I mean everything) How can I protect my 401k from creditors? No luck whatsoever with finding a new Job! Also, need the money for food and schools. Please, let me know!!

Your 401(k) is protected by law from ordinary creditors. However, once you pull the money from the account, it becomes fair game for any seizure or attachment.

I've already lost everything, so I can't advise on how not to.
