If your cat has difficulty swallowing the food or water you should try using a syringe (without the needle) filled with cat milk and putting that in your cat's mouth and slowly feed it to her, you can get cat milk from the supermarket and if you buy an ink refill pack for a computer printer it should come with a decent sized syringe. Although it's not much the cat milk should help keep her hydrated and give her some nutrients. Good luck.

It may be that your kitty will need to be put on IV fluids for nutrition until she recuperates. Having said that, when my cat was very ill and would not eat anything else, he would eat whipped cream (spray whipped cream from a can). My vet said that it was fine for him to eat, was good because it had fat and would add some nutrition but not a lot of dairy, and if he would eat it, it was better than nothing. So I squirted a little on a small plate in front of him every few hours, and he'd lick it up. But again, if your cat is not drinking either, she is likely dehydrated too and will need IV fluids and nutrition. I wish you the best of luck with your furry family member!

Get an eye dropper and some pedialyte and some gatorade. Give the cat an eye dropper full. Put the eye dropper in the side of the cat's mouth and squirt.
It helps keep the fluids in her body. Do this every few hours.
You may have to feed her. Use wet food, put a little on your finger, put it in the side of the cat's mouth, and massage her throat. It is slow going and messy; don't force a lot.....just a little.
I hope things improve.

Try soft food (a fish flavor would be the best. Fancy Feast is really good). Take a little on your finger and put it up to your kitty's mouth. Try to place it in there if she will let you. Maybe take an eye dropper of water and try squirting it in. Pet her and talk to her in a soothing tone and keep trying to introduce her food to her. Maybe Catsip Catmilk?
Good luck!
And don't listen to that weird person who said that cats are bad for our natural wildlife. He's obviously not a cat person or has no knowledge of them.

it would help if you said what teh vet found.
some virus's is let it run it's course and not feed much.
The most important thing is to make sure she is drinking and if you have to force feed ater with an eyedropper or syringe.
Also if she is suppose to eat I usually get jarred baby food chicken as chichen is very bland and force feed that as well
good luck ad wiah I could help mor but not really enough info.
But again the main thing is the fluids.

You need to try stuff that has a strong smell like sardines or mackeral things like that, also you may want to try warming it a bit as cats usually prefer food a little bit warmer usually. Or ask your vet for a food called "Hills prescription diet AD" its a really concentrated smelly food that is made for ill cats/dogs to tempt them to eat again. Good luck i hope your kitty gets better.

often if you warm up the cat food it smells nicer to the cat and they are more apt to eat it. Personally I would just ensure that she gets fluids. If you can ,get hold of a syringe and syringe water directly into her mouth every couple of hours. Fluid is more important than food right now.

I come from a cat loving family and we used to feed sickly cats with soft bread pulled into little pieces in warm milk.

I have three cats and they are all elderly; one is 21 years old and ailing. I find that poorly cats like a bit of Carnation milk and a little bit of tuna or tinned salmon. Sorry about your cat. It is awful because you feel so helpless and they can't tell you how they feel.
