Depending on where you live, you may be OK with your existing outside aerial. I say "maybe" because with analogue TV as the signal weakens the picture gradually gets snowier until no longer watchable. With digital there is a sudden point at which the signal is too weak to be usable. This is called the edge of the cliff effect. Even with a good outdoor aerial you may not get all Freeview channels because until the analogue is switched off, some freeview channel groups are being transmitted out- of -band and need a wideband aerial to receive them. Also digital is not on full power yet until analogue is switched off. Here is a link to help you.
