The kittens can eat meat from a plate and sometimes crackers, but they refuse to drink water from a bowl. I tried dunking their heads in before. They will only drink water from a bottle. The best i can do is tie the bottles to a chair so they can drink it themselves. They're a month or two old by now.

try not feeding them meat it isn't good for them they need more nutrition. get some dry cat food adn moisten it to a soup like consiatency. they will learn to lap that up and then slowly make the food thicker untils they are on the solid kitten food. Just leave a bowl of water down but make sure it's shallow enough for them.
There is a very big difernce on what to exactly do between1 month and 2 months.

Dunking their heads in the water will only make them more afraid of it. Use a low, shallow bowl for water and fill up a little. Make sure it's cool. They'll eventually get the hang of it. If you take the bottles away (just try it for a day and see) and the bowl is the only source of water, they'll drink from it if they're thirsty enough. And besides they're probably drinking when you're not looking.

maybe your bowl is too high. use a plate. they will drink eventually. dont give in with the bottle and dont let it go more then 24 hours w/o water, go to a vet. there could be othjer issues. AND CRACKERS, ur gonna make it constipated. cats stomaches are not like urs. buy baby cereal. its cheap and full of nutrients. if 2 months u may be able to go for another month or so, plus there is water in the cereal. its a dried powder in a blue box or a round box can on the top shelf in any walgreens, walmart baby isle. pleaser use that. and meat is not good either. for god sakes they are kittens with lil tiny organs. baby food, thats ur best bet

A month or two? 4 weeks is a HUGE difference in age for a kitten. Kittens should be with their mothers at least 8 weeks. Our kittens just learned from their mother.

It helps to have a smaller bowl. Splashing water seems to disturb them. Consider just putting the water on a plate and see how that goes.

Dunking could be too scary for him.

Try just putting him near it, and splash your fingers in the bowl a little bit, then touch his lips with a watery finger a few times, then splash again. You can also put the juices from a tuna canned in water (has to be water canned tuna not oil canned!!) into the water bowl a few times. That is such a tempting treat for most kitties that they will try to drink it right away.

Don't dunk their heads in the water. Start with a bit of milk on your finger to just under their nose; they'll pick up on it. Milk is only temporary as it's really too rich for them after weening.

do they drink milk??.... water taste plain, so maybe they dont know that there is water there, so try first with milk, (a drink they like), keep the bowl at the same place, dont keep changing the place... then after awhile, dilute the milk, and after a more while dilute it more, and etc.. given a month they should know......
good luck to you...

well sometimes what works is to tap your finger on the water so they can head towards it. dont force the kittens that only makes it worse. give them time.
