Free to "try" software is actually shareware.
You can use it for usually 30 days free, and then you must buy the product to continue.
Also, the free trial version is sometimes limited ,whereas you can't utilize all the power of said software.
Just look for the "trial" version, and don't worry,if you make a mistake, and try to get the "full-paid" version, the website will inform you of your need to pay, usually by credit card.
Freeware is just that
No costs..
Download.com is very reputable, but as always, scan your "Free" software before installing.
Can't be too careful

they are called the sharewares or free wares. They are meant fo you to try them and see how it works.
Although they are a good way to get the software, they give u limits to what u can do with them.
I was on download .com and it doesnt ask u to pay for the software at all. 5.3 version.
anyway, u just have to click the download now or click the try free word itself.
that should work... Good luck

The free to try versions are usually good for about 30 days, then it quits running unless you pay, or find a crack code. Just click on the one you want it will take you to the download site

in the download.com website, there is a filter that you can use to narrow your search for software...find the pulldown menu that says "license" and select "free to try"...only the software that you can download free to try will appear...maybe that will help?

After your initial search you can apply filters so if you select only free licenses you should get only shareware/freeware products.
