This is hard to answer. Man continues to dwell, where man has not dwelled before.
Only time can give true results. With research, they would have to fertilize an egg. Then, if a child were born, monitor/study the child through adulthood and having children.
There would need to be these studies made.
Boy from this, fathering a child with a regular girl.
Girl from this, mothering a child from a regular boy.
Boy and Girl from this having a child.
Then we have moral implications of these children being used for a medical guinea pig.

I guess I should add. Maybe they can use animals, but, there still a question of abuse. Plus from a Human Point, sooner or later you have to use humans and not animals.
These are the same issues we are faced with "Cloning".

It would allow men without funtioning testes to have children, or also enable a child to have two biological mothers with no father. The stem cells harvested from bone marrow are immersed in chemical cocktail that mimics the environment of the testes, and turn into immature sperm cells.

I recently heard something about that, saying that maybe one day two women in a relationship could have a child using just their cells, none of a man. Creepy!!

This is sick! It is trying to play God and that never works because there is only one God and creator of all. This person is sticking there nose in to far to suit me.
