Honestly,..
I think that, at least so far, it has not....
I started reviewing/posting in R/S because I was growing weary of the limited amount of substantive discourse I could have within my community (most probably due to the fact that I live in a Bible-belt state).
But what did I find here on Y!A?
Nothing but the same mind-numbing drivel,...
- the only difference on here is that NOW I have the privilege of being able to access, at high-speed nonetheless, a LOT more of these same old, hum-drum, garden-variety arguments.
On the upside, though,...
I have found it to be quite fertile ground for sarcasm...
... and I do, in some twisted way, enjoy reading the vitriol spewed between theists and atheists;...
... it's the same feeling I get when I see drunk people trying to debate the current crop of woes plaguing society,...
- or whenever I see ants fighting...:-))

,It has...unfortunately not for the better. I used to have more faith in humanity, And that through the shared beliefs we each hold, a better understanding of our common existence would precipitate into a more spiritually enhanced world . Unfortunately all I see is the same old G-d steeling and owning BS that has effectively stifled mankind since the inception of organized religion. Christians bashing Atheist, Muslims spouting there supremacy of morality and everybody else drawing lines in the sand to protect and isolate there little piece of the pie. And nobody really getting the big picture at all. Were all just visiting here for a very short time in history, our importance diminishing with every tic of the clock. And yet all we can do is stand up and yell ME, ME, ME. I'm just so damn important everybody should follow me, my G-d can beat your G-d. It's a little depressing.

I don't think so. I think, if anything, it's caused me to lose a bit of faith in humanity.
However, there are those times when someone will be deadly serious and actually know what they're talking about that make me happy to stick around. It's nice getting real insight into what people think or believe once in a while, rather than reading all of the knee-jerk reactions I see a lot.

It's definitely given me a chance to express my views and listen to others with like minds, and those who minds aren't. I don't get much of a chance to talk to other Wiccans where I live. I've met a lot of Heathens through my husband but, this is a place where I can 'be me'. So yeah, I think it's helped me in many ways.

Alas, it's reaffirmed my suspicions that there are some seriously delusional people out there. It's also reassuring to see that there are more people who AREN'T delusional, and are rational thinkers (like me) who don't mind telling the first group that people can live perfectly fine without religion.

It's been interesting, sometimes I'm disgusted with the way people think. I think a lot of people like to stir up touble. Alot of questions aren't even about spirituality.

Yes it has, Dude:
You see, I learn things from different prospectives. Also, when I search for sources, it makes me better at recalling Bible verses.
I enjoy R&S very much inspite of the excreta emitted by some.

Yes, I have to admit, I do like being here. I get to learn about other people's religions and other people's point of views.

I think that whenever you interact with another person, even if that interaction is in the form of an argument, you learn something. And if you've learned something, then you're a better person for it. So my answer is yes.

Especially after opening my mouth and eating a foot sandwich last night, it's teaching me to be a lot more careful about what I say.
