And it was doctors and scientists that figured out how to cure certain cancers and how to keep a diagnosis of being HIV positive from being an automatic death sentence. Some doctors might be mostly in it for the money, but to say that ALL of them are is absurd - it takes too long for school (which costs a small fortune by the way) and the work load is too vast for anybody to want to do it just to get rich - it would make more sense to go into banking if you wanted to do that.

You also need to remember that at first treatments may only be available to the wealthy, but over time the cost can go down, and they will eventually be available to just about anybody.

I see your point. I think that if the doctors are going to do stem cell research, that they should do it on adult stem cells so they don't have to kill human embryos. And if the research is supposed to benefit all people, then they should make it affordable so that the people who need it can get it.
