Can you please tell me how to maranello from bologna? or from modena? and what hotels do you recommend for both places?

Bologna is nicer, but since you travel by train and you'll have to stick with timetables, i'd chose modena, which is closer to maranello (bus distance, here's the timetable: http://www.atcm.mo.it/lineeorario.asp?TipoLinea=E )
and which center is very nice as well.

Modena is about a half hour from Bologna by train with frequent train service. I would recommend staying in Bologna. The Starhotel right across the street from Bologna Centrale is a good 4-star at a decent price. It's also walking distance to Piazza Maggiore. I stay there when I have an early flight out of Bologna.

There are also several other hotels within walking distance of the station. www.venere.com is a good hotel site for Italy. The information is accurate and the reviews are often helpful.

I would personally stay in Bologna just because there is more going on there. It's easier to find a good restaurant and better bars etc.
