I have a job on Tuesday that begins at 5AM. I also have a new haircut, which is short, but for some reason, I can't figure out how to style it straight. I've used a straightening iron, a blow dryer, de-frizz serum, and it still comes out kind of poofy. If I get my hair blown out on Monday evening (tomorrow), will my hair be able to last until the next day? The job ends at 8:30PM, so it's going to be a long day. Should I get it blown out, or should I find someone to do my hair for me?

I know for my hair, it poofs less, and is straighter if I blow it out. Especially important is when my hair is short. I would do it before sleeping on it for sure. Use a drying brush, that's the round one. Keep the dryer on a lower setting, and use the brush to help. The size of your brush depends on the length of your hair. the longer your hair, the larger the brush. use a styling product to make it last longer. I would choose gel as it is heavier than foam. Tress eme, (not sure of spelling) is really heavy and when it sets your hair somewhere, IT STAYS!

My entire life I have never been able to make my hair look like it does when I leave the salon. Personally, I would have it proffessionally done and if you wash it yourself before you have it blown out you will save a lot of money. I know many women who have their hair blown out 3 times a week.

If you have naturally curly hair, then it probably wouldn't last too well unless you use a CERAMIC flat iron. However, if your hair is wavy, then I would do it. But I would get someone that knows how to straighten hair..because in my experience, when i try to straighten my own hair, it doesn't come nearly as good as when a professional does it for me! And it also tends to get wavy really easy if it is humid out. So also make sure that it won't be humid (or worse--RAINING) tomorrow!

Yes, if you don't know how to do your newly shortened hair, then you should visit a salon and have the hairdresser do it for you. Ask her to give you tips as how to do it yourself. She could show you some products directly in the salon that can help you with your hair!

No way! If you get your hair blown out, you'll look like Cruella DeVille. One of my teachers got it, and she looked extra older! And like Cruella DeVille. So don't do it!
